Here is what the Texas Reversed BBQ looks like as an almost finished project that started as a propane tank boat trailer conversion. In the video I discuss setting the tandem axle bracket placements that I welded on to the frame after cutting out the single axle that was originally there. Future plans are to set up a rocket stove fixture to the BBQ and add dual propane burners on the side. But those are small projects that are not important to the final build. The trailer is now registered and plated as a Utility Trailer with permanent license tags. I have kept receipts of all purchased items and documented all the taxes paid. It weighs over 3000 pounds and has 4 electric brakes for safety. Dual axles and frame strength makes it good for 7000 pounds as tow weight, while only 400 pounds is on the trailer tongue, though it will never come to that in my expectations.
The propane tank I decided to put into a metal milk crate, perfect fit and then used hose clamps to secure that to the bed frame. The two burners are much closer though still safe to use. They are not kept out side but are in storage as dust, bugs and weather will get into the burner rings. Everything is locked down and nothing can fly off while on the highway. Also put in the clearance lights on both sides so when towing at night, clearing an intersection other drivers will see it in tow instead of a black hole they think would be clear space. I think it is a nice build and safe for human use.
