#bushcraft #logcabin #woodworking
Join me and my dog as we survive frigid temperatures and a blizzard in the Canadian wilderness. I work solo on the interior of the log cabin, including adding log trim to the front door and a hand-railing for the sleeping loft in the cabin. I snowshoe through the deep snow to cut down trees for woodworking with traditional hand tools. I use a small carving axe to fix the handrail on the ladder to the loft and to split kindling for the fire. It’s so cold that I keep a campfire burning between the front porch of the cabin and the forest kitchen so that I can work in comfort, and also to cook venison steaks on the grill and bone broth in a cast iron pot.
