I just bought this Weber one-touch 22.5 gold series grill. It includes the ash catcher and the hinged cooking grate, but the charcoal briquet holders were sold separate. This grill is great for doing some indirect cooking.

Here I am cooking some pork chops with potatoes onions and some fresh green bean, To me this is a good combination and it all cooks well together in the tin foil. You can cook just about anything using this method, and it’s really easy. Just to be sure to pick a good combination of meats and vegetables, whatever you like, its your choice, but just remember the cook times will vary depending on what you are cooking and how much you cook.

There are several ways to cook with tin foil, some people call them packets or bundles, some people might call it a hobo dinner or a foil dinner. I just call it cookin’ with tin foil. Lots of folks cook directly in the fire, which I do on occasion, like potatoes when I cook steaks, or you may want to cook on top of the grill, like onions, all of those work fine if you know what your doing, but I like to slow cook with indirect heat whenever possible. It drastically reduces the possibly of burning the food and hey, I enjoy cooking outdoors so theres nothing better than low and slow.

Ingredients:

6 pork chops
6 -8 small to medium potatoes (leave whole or large pieces)
2 – medium to large onions (cut into large pieces)
1/2 – pound (approx.) of fresh green beans (snap ends but leave whole)
butter
Soul seasoning
Worcestershire sauce
Alittle bit of Water
salt and pepper

serves 4 to 6

Directions:

Preheat the grill for indirect heat. Place pork chops in the center of a large piece of heavy duty foil. Place potatos on or around the pork chops and onions on top. Place the green beans on next. Add butter, Worcestershire, a little water, Salt and pepper to taste. Tightly seal the foil around the pork chops and vegetables, use two layers of foil if nessesary. Put the sealed foil packet on the grill (indirect heat) cook for approximately 1 1/2 hours.
