This is a slideshow of how I made the masonry pit-smoker. I didn’t get the idea to take the photos until the day the foundation was setting. When I conceptualized it based on traditional smokers in the South I was intending on keeping it inconspicuous. Once I started to count brick I said “what the heck” I’d hate to cut two different lengths of cordwood so I enlarged it to what you see. I didn’t stop to think about the clay liner on the left and didn’t scale it up too. As a result, it smokes on that side with the blowgeorge open.
