Ribeye Steak on the Grilla Grills Silverbac

A ribeye is staple when it comes to steaks, full of marbling and flavor!

For this cook we really wanted to showcase the versiltility of a pellet grill and the processes I use to sear a steak a on pellet grill.

To start we took a couple of choice grade ribeyes. Season them to your liking and let them rest on the counter for about an hour.

Then we fired up the pellet grill. You will definitely need a set of Grill Grates to really get the full potential of your pellet grill. Now of course you can try this recipe on any grill with great results.

Using the infrared thermometer you adjust you pellet grill temp until you achieve at least 600 degree grates. The Grilla Grills Silverbac can easily do this with the temp set at 485 degrees.

While the grill is coming up to temp I made the “Stone Ground Mustard Butter”. Take a small sauce pan and combine the following ingredients.

Stone Ground Mustard Butter
* 1 Stick of Butter
* 1 Tablespoon of Black Pepper
* 1 1/2 Tablespoon of Stone Ground Mustard
* Juice of 1/2 Lemon

Simmer the ingredients for 1 minute. Place the leaves of 2 stems of Rosemary in a strainer and pour the hot butter over the Rosemary.

NOW IT’S TIME TO COOK SOME STEAKS!!!!

The cook is pretty straight forward. You are going to place the steaks on those 600 Degree Grill Grates for 2 minutes. Give them a twist for those perfect marks. After another 2 minutes its time to flip. Go another 2 minutes and twist again. Thats when I like to start checking the temp. I was shooting for 125-127 for that perfect Medium Rare. Of course you can adjust your finish temp to your liking.

****GOOD TIP**** If you have thicker steaks that aren’t getting done in a total of 8 minutes, place them on a raised rack or your top shelf to get them off of the Grill Grates. This will keep from burning the one side waiting on them to get done. Plus raising the steak to a higher rack will allow the steak to cook more evenly.

Once the steaks are done let them rest. While resting, drizzle the Stone Ground Mustard Butter over them. This butter has an awesome flavor and goes great with any cut of beef. You will not be disappointed!!

After a few minute rest, its time to EAT!!
