Happy Father’s Day to you dads (and some of you moms who had to FILL IN when the dad was in absentia!!!) out there!
I used pony beads (you can buy a crapload of them in a container at Walmart, or in individual color packages) for this, but I suppose any plastic beads will do.
Melt the beads at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes in a metal cake pan. Drilled a hole in them and strung them on fishing line for ornaments or a suncatcher.
It does begin to stink after a bit. I put up a Vornado fan to circulate the air and it wasn’t bad at all. They harden up and will tip right out of your pan without a problem.
I saw this idea on Pinterest here : http://doitandhow.com/2012/05/30/too-easy-melted-bead-suncatchers/
