Support Will: http://www.stormthecastle.com/support.htm

This is a tutorial on how to make a blacksmithing forge with cheap and easy materials. This is a common and easy type of forge called a Brake Disc forge. You can use the disc or drum from a car and use it as the heat pot. Just add a few more materials and you are forging.
You use this for the hottest part of the forge.
I show you the theory of how a forge works and the simple basics. I also show you that you don’t need to use coal, you can buy off the shelf lump charcoal that is available at any hardware or home improvement store.
In the video is a short clip of a Billhook being heated. This is a farm tool/medieval weapon and it is part of an upcoming blacksmithing video.
If you always wanted to blacksmith but didn’t have a forge this is a great place to start. You also see my first brake disc forge which lasted me five years of occasional forging.
