We finally finished the ugly drum smoker as part of one of our prepping projects. And if you watch the whole video you will see this is a technique now body else seems to be using.
For this ugly drum smoke, or as some call then ‘vertical drum smokers’ I have taken an old Weber grill which I picked up for $30 (I’m sure you can find them cheaper) and a brand new grill top from Home Depot (See our blog for link)
I was able to resource all the parts from the Weber grill as all parts fit almost perfectly, give or take a few adjustments to make a very easy to use and practical ugly drum smoker.
