North Idaho had first snowfall Nov 1-4 2017. This video is about my RECTEC heating up to 350 from 32 degrees in about 27 minutes. I started the video just a minute too late, that’s why it says 34 degrees. As you can see, the RECTEC has no problem in the winter time. I was grilling a chicken hence the 350 degrees. If I was doing ribs I’d only warm it up to 250, so I think this smoker could work even in much colder environments.
