I saw a similar fireplace used the other day and it is good enough to share. This projects was to show that you can make this with basic tools of an angle grinder, drill, suitable bits, metal file, hammer, assorted bolts and spanners etc.
I sourced the drum for free from an online forum (Freecycle) and thither items were found or bits and pieces in the stuff in the workshop. The grills are from old BBQs.. It is looking good as a fire pit for coals and camp oven cooking.
